About Us

Since 1981 Broda® Seating has been manufacturing wheelchairs that improve the quality of life for the elderly. Broda® wheelchairs combine comfort for residents and easy to use features for caregivers. We are known for our unique looking chairs. All Broda® chairs incorporate our Comfort Tension Seating™ system that allows proper heat and moisture exchange as well as suspending residents to minimize seating pressures.

We can help make the elderly comfortable as well as making it easier to transport, transfer, or reposition them. Broda® is known as a solution for difficult seating needs associated with aggressive behaviors or specialized needs. We commonly seat people who suffer with diseases or conditions such as:

Multiple Sclerosis Huntington's Chorea
Alzheimer's or Dementia Parkinson's Disease
Brain or neck injuries

We also build chairs that accommodate custom seat widths, seat depths, back heights, and seat heights. With seat widths ranging up to 28" we can also provide Bariatric seating.

The Pedal chair allows residents to propel themselves with their feet getting exercise and independence. The CS 385 is a stainless steel chair that provides a non-rusting quality chair with the features for both commode and shower functions (see new products). Broda® Chairs are currently used in facilities such as long-term care, acute care, assisted living, and rehabilitation centers as well as individual residences across North American, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Comfort, stability, and durability make Broda® chairs one of the most cost-effective seating alternatives on the market. (see document page for copies of pressure and stability studies).

If you are trying to:

  • Provide comfort for the sick or elderly
  • Reduce staff injuries created by transferring or repositioning residents
  • Reduce the need for restraints; Initiate or reinforce a no fall program within your facility
  • Accommodate aggressive behaviors or difficult seating cases
  • Providing mobility for active residents
  • Reduce maintenance and replacement costs of chairs

Broda® Chairs can help you with these goals.
